Baars Crowned Batter of the Month in July Thursday, August 1st, 2041 For a rookie just breaking in, Imbart Baars certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the 3AA Batter of the Month award for July. The 23-year-old first baseman for the Ottawa Nationals hit .337 with 8 home runs, 26 RBIs and 19 runs scored. In his stats this season, Baars has posted a batting average of .285 with 74 hits in 260 at-bats, 12 home runs and 56 RBIs. He has also scored 35 runs, walked 31 times and compiled a .371 OBP. |
