Janssen Named Top Reliever for SAAA
Saturday, October 5th, 2041
At the age of 24, Job Janssen says he still has a lot to learn about life in USSL Triple A.
But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Alaskan Humpbacks reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2041 USSL Triple A Reliever of the Year Award.
"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Montaña Rey, Curaçao native said.
For the season, Janssen had 7 saves in 38 relief appearances, which totaled 93.1. He fanned 90 betters, while walking 17 and put up a record of 13-2 to go with his 2.70 ERA.
He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Modeste Azagba of the Alaskan Humpbacks finished second in voting, while Tom Warrawong of the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes finished third.
