Butterfield Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Friday, August 23rd, 2041 The number just keeps getting higher. Alaskan right fielder Bobby Butterfield has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 2 hits in 4 at-bats as the Alaskan took the 7-6 win over the Florida Men at Sea World. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Florida manager Joseph Fish said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Bobby Butterfield flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th and singled in the 7th. So far this season Butterfield has put up a .325 batting average with 77 hits, 9 home runs and 52 RBIs. |
