Perfect Game for Lake Monsters Souza Tuesday, July 2nd, 2041 Vermont Lake Monsters starter Jorge Souza spun a perfect game today against the Nolensville Knights. The 20-year-old was impeccable in the 3-0 victory at Monster Field, not allowing a single baserunner. "I don't know what to say," he said in a postgame press conference. "I didn't do anything different in this game. Really. I just pitched the ball and everyone did what they had to do and somewhere along the way, fate stepped in and took control." Souza retired 27 in a row, fanning 8 of them. "I was very aware I was working on a perfect game from the sixth inning on," he said. "But it didn't faze me because I really didn't expect to pitch one.
