Finley Belts 3 HRs Friday, May 3rd, 2041 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Sacramento Redlegs today. Bloomington right fielder Oscar Finley tripled up on the home runs to propel the Longnecks to the 9-2 win at Lookouts Ballpark. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Sacramento manager Marshall Edwards said. "Finley hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Finley collected 4 hits in 4 at-bats, 3 RBIs and scored 5 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Oscar Finley hit a solo-shot off Tim Owens in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Tim Owens in the 4th, walked in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Roble Gichinga in the 8th. |
