Buzz End Kattenberg's Streak Monday, June 24th, 2041 It was the best of both worlds for the Salt Lake City Buzz today at Spirits Stadium, as they defeated the Hartford Pride 6-5 and also snapped Peer Kattenberg's 20-game hitting streak. The 26-year-old Hartford left fielder failed to get a hit in 3 at-bats. "Nothing personal against Kattenberg, we just wanted to win the game," said Buzz skipper Greg Keys. "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing." When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Kattenberg frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won." This year Kattenberg is batting .358 with 38 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 22 times and has batted in 13 runs. |
