Somoza Twirls No-Hitter Against Pennsauken Monday, May 27th, 2041 In a dominant outing, Ean Somoza of the Monongahela Monsters totally silenced the bats of the Pennsauken Flyers, finishing with a no-hitter. In the Monsters' 1-0 victory, Somoza faced only 30 batters, surrendered no hits, had 8 strikeouts and 3 walks. "Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Monongahela manager Seth Rice said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any." Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Tony Romero told reporters in the clubhouse that he had a "simple" analysis of the game.
