Mueller Keeps Hit Streak Alive Monday, September 23rd, 2041 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Joe Mueller did it again, bashing 3 hits in the contest at The BFIB today. For the last 20 games in a row, the 27-year-old left fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the St. Louis Coeur beat the D.C. Divided 4-1 today. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Mueller told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the St. Louis clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Joe Mueller singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. This season Mueller is batting .309 with 116 hits, 16 home runs, 56 RBIs, 15 walks, .342 OBP and has scored 59 runs. He has played in 95 games. |
