Schalk Blisters Chicago Wednesday, June 26th, 2041 Cut Off Crawdads first baseman Norbert Schalk had a day to remember at Little Gold Sox Park today, ripping apart the Chicago Gold Sox and sparking the Crawdads to a 7-2 victory. Schalk wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-5. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Schalk told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Norbert Schalk hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and tripled in the 8th.
