Jason Durkin Captures PA Award Monday, May 27th, 2041 So far in his young career, Jason Durkin has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the USPL Single A in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 20-year-old Tennessee Smokies right fielder hit at a torrid .444 clip as he collected 8 hits in 18 at-bats, 2 home runs, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. This year Durkin is hitting at a .342 pace with 2 home runs and 9 RBIs. He has played in 19 games and scored 14 times. |
