Wells Week's #1 Player Monday, August 26th, 2041 20-year-old Sam Wells made a few Cut Off headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USPL Single A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 26 at-bats to put up a .423 average. Wells collected no home runs, 2 RBIs and scored 3 runs. This season in 35 games, Wells has hit at a .265 clip with 36 hits, 2 home runs, 15 RBIs and 17 runs scored. |
