Vandals Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Monday, August 12th, 2041 Even the most die-hard fans of the Eugene Vandals will likely now start focusing on next year. The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "We're disappointed," said Vandals reliever Lang Lian. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year." Eugene last appeared in the postseason in 2033. This is their 8th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 15 times in their 21-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Vandals have missed the playoffs 7 times. Eugene has won the PL A Championship 2 times in their history. |
