Anderson Parks 3 for Rocky Mountain Sunday, August 11th, 2041 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Cut Off Crawdads today. Rocky Mountain third baseman William Anderson tripled up on the home runs to propel the Vibes to the 12-1 win at Crawdads Field. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Cut Off manager Michael Garrett said. "Anderson hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Anderson collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 7 RBIs and scored 4 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." William Anderson hit a solo-shot off Patrick Robison in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Patrick Robison in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, walked in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Charles Cleveland in the 8th. For the year Anderson is hitting .275 with 14 home runs. His stats include 46 RBI and 49 runs scored. |
