Mancelona's Wells Winner, SA Best Hitter in August Sunday, September 1st, 2041 When Bill Wells stepped up to the plate in August he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the USSL Single A Batter of the Month award. The young Mancelona shortstop posted a .263 batting average with 6 home runs, 21 RBIs and scored 15 runs. Wells also worked pitchers for 6 walks to post a .333 on-base percentage. So far this year, Wells is batting .269 with 21 home runs and 73 RBIs. |
