Season Ends for Denny Matthews of Yucca Valley Saturday, August 24th, 2041 Doctors in Yucca Valley said Denny Matthews might not play anymore this year. The Yellows reliever suffered shoulder inflammation during a game against the Put-In-Bay BC and will be out for at least 6-7 months. Club officials told BNN they do not expect him to return to the team this season. For the season Matthews has made 19 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 3-0 won-lost mark and a 4.65 ERA. In pitching 31 innings, he has totaled 35 strikeouts and 15 walks. |
