Veteran Trautmann Hits Three Dingers
Tuesday, October 8th, 2041
Danny Trautmann brutalized the Buffalo White Walkers pitching staff, launching three home runs in today's 12-2 victory at The Voodoo Lounge. The New Orleans Voodoo first baseman was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day.
"I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one."
For the game, he went 3-for-4 with 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"Too much Danny Trautmann today," White Walkers manager Chris Lau said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to."
Danny Trautmann hit a two-run home run off Dave Dunn in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Sjaak Bonne in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Keith Rojas in the 8th.
This season Trautmann has 21 home runs and a .318 batting average.
