PL Star of the Week Named Monday, July 22nd, 2041 At the age of 32, Doug Allerdale might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Charleston catcher put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .421 batting average. For his efforts Allerdale collected the United States Premier League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 8 hits in 19 at-bats, 4 home runs and 11 RBIs last week in 5 games. This year Allerdale has batted at a .277 pace with 61 hits, 16 home runs, 46 RBIs and scored 37 times. |
