84s Turn Back D.C., 3-1
|
Zadock Dinkelmann never let D.C. get something going. The Greenville left-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the 84s to a 3-1 win. Ramon Wuilink got the save, his 4th in 7 chances. The 84s have an impressive 52-30 record.
Philip Visscher tagged a home run off César Sandoval in the bottom of the fifth. His 2-run blast put the 84s on top, 2-0. In all, Visscher had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Greenville manager John Bosma. "It's usually not just one thing."
