Dirty Reds Win Again, Extend Streak to 7
|
San Mateo beat Las Vegas at Lang Park, eking out a 3-2 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Travis Morgan, who earned player of the game honors. Juan Moreno got credit for the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings. San Mateo has now reeled off 7 straight wins.
San Mateo took a 3-2 lead on Zahid Kashani's 62nd hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Kashani hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Las Vegas pitcher Gilberto Pontojá visibly frustrated.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Morgan.
