Horwedel Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Las Vegas in Walk-Off Win
|
The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC got a superb performance from left fielder Keaton Kringlen. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Las Vegas. The Flamingos won the game, 9-8. In spite of the loss, Kringlen was named the player of the game. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Thunder Bay has now lost 8 in a row.
Dirk Horwedel delivered a run-scoring double for Las Vegas in the bottom of the tenth. The center fielder went 3 for 6 in the game, including 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and batted in 2.
"To not win that game stings a little bit," said Thunder Bay manager Scott Williams.
