Patriots Stay Hot, Beat Browns
|
Though he had a great game, Danny Rodríguez could not single-handedly produce a win for Cleveland. Boston won the game, 9-2. Rodríguez was named the player of the game. He went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Getting the save was Elton Coalan, his 1st. The Patriots, now 12-6, have been red hot.
Boston relied on the hitting of Juan Andrés Martí to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Patriots on top, 6-2. For the game, Martí had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Martí said after the game.
