Portland Caps Season With United States Baseball Association Championship
After winning the league title, the Portland Evergreens didn't call it a year.

They went on to even greater glory by being named the best of the best -- the Evergreens are the United States Baseball Association champions.

They whipped New Orleans Voodoo 6-5 in the finale and won the series 4-1.

The Portland skipper told the press, "To win a series like this, you need timely hitting and good pitching. Fortunately we got both of them."

During the Premier League regular season, the Evergreens posted a record of 62-46 and finished third in the standings.
