Almost There: New Orleans On Cusp of R2042 Triumph After 8-2 Win
The New Orleans Voodoo moved to within one game of the Round 2043 today, downing the visiting Portland Evergreens at The Voodoo Lounge by a score of 8-2. Voodoo second baseman Petri Kallio was named player of the game after he was 3 for 4 with a triple and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win gives the Voodoo a - advantage in the best-of- Round 2042.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth when Kallio hit a run-scoring triple. It propelled the Voodoo into the lead, 3-2.

Kallio called the triumph "a good team win."
