Portland Evergreens first baseman Tetsu Matsumoto was the difference-maker at Evergreen Park today, winning player of the game honors as he led his club to victory in a pivotal Game of the Round 2042. The Evergreens took the 6-4 win over the Boston Patriots to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.
Vicente Gomillion, the 31st overall pick in the 2039 draft, chipped in for Portland with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
