Pivotal Game Goes to Host Evergreens, 9-6
The Portland Evergreens moved to within one game of the Round 2043 today, downing the visiting New Orleans Voodoo at Evergreen Park by a score of 9-6. Evergreens left fielder An-te-hai Qing was named player of the game after he was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The win gives the Evergreens a - advantage in the best-of- Round 2042.

Gene Wilson, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2034 draft, aided the Portland cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the first baseman was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We haven't stopped playing," New Orleans manager Chase Sims said. "We didn't get this far to give up."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Evergreen Park in Portland. The scheduled starters for the game are Mike Donovan for the New Orleans Voodoo and Cristián Moreno for the the Portland Evergreens.
