Hay Stars for Cattlemen in 6-0 Win
|
With center fielder Kolby Hay leading the charge, the Ft. Worth Cattlemen defeated the Nashville Outlaws, 6-0, at The Cattle Pen. Hay, who is tied for 9th in the SL in total bases with 133, was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Kabeya Kasongo, the winner, improved to 4-5. He held the Outlaws to no earned runs on 5 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 1. With the win, Ft. Worth goes to 30-32, while the Outlaws fall to 31-31.
Hay put Ft. Worth up, 4-0, when he hit a 2-run home run off Frank Butler in the bottom of the fifth. His 15th home run of the season helped the Cattlemen capture the win.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Hay told the Ft. Worth News.
