Sarkies, Krewe Sink Screaming Eagles Again in Game 4
|
The Crescent City Krewe moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the visiting Mercer Island Screaming Eagles at Field of the Krewe by a score of 6-3. Krewe first baseman Rod Sarkies was named player of the game after he went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times. The win gives the Krewe a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-5 PL AA Championship.
Arturo Cicerón aided the Crescent City cause with a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the third. For the game, the shortstop went 1 for 5 with a triple.
"We lost," Mercer Island manager Justin Saginov said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."
