Mercer Island Breaks Through for First Win in PL AA Championship; Now Trails 2-1
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Crescent City Krewe, winning 4-1 at Field of the Krewe today. Screaming Eagles right-hander Dawson Randolph was named player of the game after he threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Screaming Eagles to 2-1 in the best-of-5 PL AA Championship.

Randolph was in the zone all game. He frustrated Crescent City hitters while giving the Screaming Eagles 8 innings of quality work. Randolph threw 101 pitches, allowing 4 hits and getting 3 punchouts.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Randolph.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Field of the Krewe. The scheduled starters for the game are Phil Day for the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles and Felipe Nieves for the the Crescent City Krewe.
