Blaze Win to Extend Series Lead to 3-0
|
When he got to South Beach, Shan-tang Yang was just worrying about staying on the roster. Today, he was starring in the PL A Championship.
The 19-year-old rookie left-hander shut out the host Rocky Mountain Vibes 3-0 in a remarkable performance at Bellevue Field today. With the win, the Blaze took a 3-0 lead in the best-of-5 PL A Championship.
It could have been a different outcome for South Beach, had it not been for Chut-sai Meng, the 21-year old second baseman . Meng contributed a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put South Beach up, 2-0.
"We lost," Rocky Mountain manager Brooks Dempsey said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."
