Pivotal Game Goes to Host Patriots, 9-3
Boston Patriots left fielder John Mayasich was the difference-maker at Dunkin Donuts Park today, winning player of the game honors as he led his club to victory in a pivotal Game of the Round 1. The Patriots took the 9-3 win over the New Orleans Voodoo to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.

Mayasich had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the second inning, when he hit a 2-run double. The Patriots went on to win.

"Odds are I won't have another 5-RBI game in the playoffs ever again," Mayasich said later. "So I'm going to savor this."
