Fallows Handcuffs Flamingos, Shredders Seize - Advantage in R1

Game was big. So was Matthew Fallows.
The Hollywood starter rose to the occasion at The Strip today, earning player of the game honors after leading the Shredders to a crucial 4-2 victory over the Las Vegas Flamingos. Fallows threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball as the Shredders won on the road to seize a - lead in the best-of- Round 1.
Hollywood used the timely hitting of Johan Kroening to capture the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Shredders on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"Every team in baseball loses," Flamingos manager JJ Hoban said. "We're in the playoffs and we still have the same guys that got us here. We'll bounce back."
