The Hollywood Shredders moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the Toledo Stingers on the road at Pacesetter Park by a score of 5-1. Shredders right-hander Joy-shan Men was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 9 innings of 1-hit ball. The win gives the Shredders a - advantage in the best-of- Round 1.

Men, who leaned on his knuckle curve, allowed 1 run on just 1 hit over 9 innings for the Shredders. For the most part, Toledo hitters were simply overmatched.

"Joy-shan had electric stuff," said Hollywood manager Bill Cheese.
