The Portland Evergreens are one game away from a sweep after a 12-3 win over the visiting Seattle Rocketeers at Evergreen Park today. Evergreens first baseman Tetsu Matsumoto was named player of the game, as he went 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Portland now holds a - advantage in the best-of- Round 1.

David Milliken dealt the Rocketeers a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and Portland leading 4-3, Milliken, who is tied for 8th in the PL in extra base hits with 9, hit a 2-0 forkball for a run-scoring single.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Milliken.
