The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the Brooklyn Dodgers on the road at Ebbetts Field by a score of 8-7. Northern Lions BC right fielder Gilberto Ocasio was named player of the game after he was 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win gives the Northern Lions BC a - advantage in the best-of- Silver League Championship.

This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the ninth, Curf Pierstisnips hit a sacrifice fly. The Northern Lions BC took the lead, 8-7.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Ocasio told a Thunder Bay Daily reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
