Evergreens Hammered by Gómez, Fall Further Behind in R1
The Las Vegas Flamingos moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the Portland Evergreens on the road at Evergreen Park by a score of 6-5. Flamingos catcher Adrián Gómez was named player of the game after he went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The win gives the Flamingos a - advantage in the best-of- Silver League Championship.

Joo-Chan Park helped out the Las Vegas cause in the top of the sixth inning with a 2-run triple. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"It's a big deal," Park said of the win. "If we had gone to 0- , we're pretty much out of it."
