Tight Tilt Goes to Blimps, 1-0
|
Akron starter Wilson Alindogan pitched effectively against the Springfield Shooters at Springfield Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 1-0 win. The Blimps now have a record of 58-39.
The result might have been different for Akron, had it not been for Charlie Cummings. The center fielder produced a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Blimps ahead, 1-0. For the game, Cummings had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
