Billy Goats Edge San Mateo in Pitching Duel

The San Mateo Dirty Reds and Colorado Billy Goats provided some drama at Lang Park.
Travis Morgan pitched well, but his team, the San Mateo Dirty Reds, still dropped a 1-0 decision to the Colorado Billy Goats at Lang Park. Sergio Gómez was the winner. Over 7 innings, he allowed no runs on 4 hits, with 3 walks and 2 strikeouts.
Colorado took a 1-0 lead on Ken Norris's 4th home run of the season. The solo home run came off San Mateo pitcher Travis Morgan in the top of the seventh.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Norris told the Colorado Bulletin.
Their 20-33 record puts the Billy Goats last in the Silver League.
