Screaming Eagles Topple Ogres as Ollerton Shines
Riding the 4-hit performance of the 25-year old catcher Corey Ollerton, the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles stopped the Olympia Ogres, 5-2. Ryan Fry earned the save, his 9th. Mercer Island is now 52-39.

Ollerton came through with some timely hitting for Mercer Island. With the score 1-0 in the top of the first and two down, Ollerton hit a 1-0 forkball for a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season made it 4-0, Mercer Island.

In postgame comments to the Mercer Island Citizen, Ollerton said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
