The Screaming Eagles had to overcome a fine effort from Ithaca pitcher José Flores to grab a narrow 3-2 win at Imps Park. Flores went 6 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Mercer Island now has a 3-game win streak.

Mercer Island used the timely hitting of Corey Ollerton to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Screaming Eagles ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Ollerton.
