Fans who came to Imps Park watched the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles and the Ithaca Fighting Imps fight to the finish.

The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles picked up a win at Imps Park, knocking off the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 4-3. Starting pitcher Jason Miller, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Miller got the win, improving to 5-4. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 6.1 innings. Miller allowed 2 earned runs.

It could have been a different outcome for Mercer Island, had it not been for Hugues Bellot, the 21-year old center fielder . Bellot contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth inning to put Mercer Island up, 2-1.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Bellot told the Mercer Island Citizen.

With the win, Mercer Island goes to 49-36, while the Fighting Imps fall to 29-56.
