Blimps Topple Krewe with Late Rally
The Crescent City Krewe got a sterling performance from right fielder Dave Summers, but the Blimps still prevailed, 6-4. Summers was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times. Reliever Elliot Roebuck picked up the win. His record improves to 3-4. Travis Hayes took the loss. Akron improves to 52-33 with the win. They lead their division by 3 games.

Akron used the timely hitting of Dave Hill to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Blimps on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Hill.
