Crescent City and Olympia met at The Ogre Den in front of a lively crowd.
Crescent City starter Manny Pinto had a strong outing against the Olympia Ogres at The Ogre Den. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-3 win. Pinto, the winner, moves to 3-7. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 2 and giving up 3 walks. Travis Hayes converted his 11th save in 13 tries.
Crescent City used the timely hitting of Vitorio Flores to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put the Krewe on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It's a mindset," said Pinto. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
