The Akron Blimps defeated the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 6-5. Earning player of the game honors was first baseman Dave Hill, who went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Akron leads the Premier AA by 2½ games.

Akron won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With one out and Jimmy Whitney on the mound for Ithaca, designated hitter Víctor Martínez hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Blimps fans to their feet.

"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Blimps manager Jared Gilbert, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
