Continentals Walk Off with Win
Chesapeake withstood an impressive performance by Mercer Island designated hitter Corey Ollerton to defeat the Screaming Eagles, 5-4, at Chesapeake Grounds. Ollerton went 3-4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Chesapeake reliever Wayne Compton picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jonathan Meeks took the loss. Mercer Island has now lost 4 straight.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 4-4, catcher Jim Henson won it for Chesapeake. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Henson hit a 2-1 fastball from Jonathan Meeks for a run-scoring single, giving his team a 5-4 win.

"This place was electric at the end," Henson said.
