Ballpark of Albuquerque was the site of a tense game between the Germantown Uruguayans and Greenport Harbor Whales.
The Greenport Harbor Whales picked up a win at Ballpark of Albuquerque, knocking off the Germantown Uruguayans, 2-1. On the mound for Greenport was right-hander Poom Saksansin, who played a pivotal role in the win. Tim Strong recorded the save for Greenport, his 11th of the season.
Greenport used the timely hitting of Antosha Eismant to capture the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Harbor Whales on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.
"It feels good to get this one," Saksansin told the Greenport Gazette.
Greenport goes to 26-51, Germantown to 47-30.
