Divided Need Extra Frames to Get Past Dirty Reds
|
The D.C. Divided defeated the San Mateo Dirty Reds, 6-4, in United States Silver League action at Washington Stadium. Billy Dotson received player of the game honors. The 12-year veteran was 4 for 6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. With the win over San Mateo, the Divided improved to 21-23.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With two out, Dotson hit a curveball from Matt Digby for a 2-run home run. The Divided, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"There's no quit in this team," said Divided manager Jonathan Gerth.
