Loss to Angel Kitties Extends Bompton Losing Streak
|
The Bethlehem Angel Kitties put together a convincing win at Field of the Browns, defeating the Bompton Baby Lakers, 11-3. Wyatt Shepherd was one of the hitting stars. He went 1-3 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for Bethlehem. César Sandoval, the winner, improved to 5-6. He held the Baby Lakers to 3 earned runs on 6 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 8 and walking 2. Bompton is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.
Bethlehem relied on the hitting of Norm Williams to pick up the win. The left fielder ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Angel Kitties on top, 2-0. For the game, Williams had 1 triple and 1 single in 6 at-bats.
"We're just going to try to build off this win," said Williams.
