Beavers Bruise Octopi, 14-2
|
Northwest Territory starter Thomas Canó kept the Ogallala offense under clamps, while his team rolled to a 14-2 win. Northwest Territory leads the Menard's R by 2 games.
The Beavers grabbed the lead in the top of the third. With two out, Bang-xao Li, who is tied for 8th in the 3R in doubles with 13, hit a 2-run home run off Otis Knapp, putting Northwest Territory in front, 3-0. For Li, it was his 4th home run of the season.
"We maximized our offense today," said Northwest Territory skipper Tom Carlson. "That makes everyone's life easier."
