Tight Tilt Goes to Interns, 4-3
Capital Hill pitcher Vladsislas Meierhold did his part in helping his team beat the Amarillo Warheads, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Capital Hill reliever Carlos Cardenas picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Bill Miller absorbed the loss. The 6th-place Interns now have a win-loss record of 47-49.

In the bottom of the 7th, first baseman Jason Oglethorpe gave Capital Hill the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Interns had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out single off Amarillo pitcher Bill Miller changed that -- and Capital Hill went on to win.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Oglethorpe said.
