Vargas Goes Wild, But Angel Kitties Win
|
Marcos Vargas did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Watford City Trash Pandas from losing, 9-8, to the Bethlehem Angel Kitties at Kittie Park. Vargas went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. With the win, the Angel Kitties improved to 8-15.
Had Jaime Juárez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Juárez hit a 2-run double. That made the score 9-8, in favor of the Angel Kitties.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Juárez said after the game.
